On January 19, 2018, the Head of Government presided over the installation ceremony of the National Commission for Public Procurement as an autonomous technical body with a major role in overseeing public procurement and control of public expenditure. It should be recalled that the said commission was instituted by decree N 2-14-867 of September 21, 2015, which endowed it with several missions, including that of examining complaints from any natural or legal person under private law in the capacity of competitor, awardee or holder of a public order. Indeed, the private sector is represented by three (3) members out of the twelve (12) members constituting the deliberative body of the commission.
